    <Mod Note

I am really sorry Janet - but site policy means that when certain subjects are discussed or raised there is only one option open to the mods.
In this case we have no choice but to remove your post and close the thread.

However we can recommend you use some of the resources listed on this link
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057178293

    For example:
    Suicide
turn2me.org - online mental health community providing peer and professional support to people in distress.

Pieta House - Suicide and Self Harm Crisis Centre, providing services for those who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm. Contact information for your local Pieta House can be found here.

    National Office for Suicide Prevention
    - information and signposting resource regarding suicide in Ireland. NOSP is not a crisis support service.

While your GP has not replied can you contact another GP? And yes I know you have fears over going to A&E but if you are at risk then please do go and get some immediate help, you do have a right to privacy so you can instruct the hospital not to release any information, a quick check on line just now shows that many hospitals have sections on a right to privacy of the patient.
