    Hi all

I am travelling from Limerick to Dublin next weekend and getting a bus from Talbot St to Malahide.

Does anyone know exactly where on Talbot St do I get the number 32 Bus.

The Dublin bus website or app pinpoints it exactly. It's between Marlborough Street and gardiner Street. Pretty much halfway down that section

According to the map on Dublinbus.ie, the stop is opposite Tesco Express, which is about halfway from Amiens St to O Connell St.

    Thanks

I found the bus stop on the website. I now know how to get there from D'ollier St.

Well if you are coming on Dublin Coach bear in mind that they no longer serve D'Olier St. Their set down stop has moved to Bachelor's Walk and their pickup stop is now in Burgh Quay.

Not to throw a spanner in the works or anything.....but Talbot St is the terminus on the inbound route from Malahide. The 1st pick up spot on the outbound journey TO Malahide, is around the corner on Abbey St Lower. The official Dublin Bus timetable does list the 32 as departing from Talbot St, but I get the 31 and 32 home from town all the time & I've never gotten on at Abbey St, and seen passengers already on it. The stop on Abbey St is just down from the Luas stop, directly across the road from an old church/abbey. There are 4 or 5 bus stops all in row and, each one is clearly marked as to which bus stops where.

Btw OP. The 32 is a fairly infrequent bus. It only runs once an hour for at weekends. If you are going to Malahide, the Dart has much better service.

The first pickup stop IS Talbot Street. There is nothing stopping anyone getting on there other than it is not as convenient as Abbey St.

I would also suggest that the 42 (from Talbot St or Busarus) is a better bus option to/from Malahide.

Fair enough so. It's just that I've often stood at Abbey St and seen buses change their sign from Out Of Service/Entering Service to 31 or 32, as they pulled into the stop.

Agree with you on the 42. Much, much better service than the 32.

If you're coming on the LUAS from Heuston, get off at Busaras and go round the corner to the stop opposite Connolly LUAS stop - all the Malahide buses stop there.

The Dublin Bus website, www.dublinbus.ie as others have said is one place to go but an equally good if not better and more usable site is

    http://hittheroad.ie/about

No I am getting the Dublin Coach.

Hopefully someone can clarify where I can get the number 32 Bus. No idea now if its talbot street or abbey street. Well I am stuck for time and as Dulin Bus is closer to where the Dublin Coach drops off its the best option. Plus I am not familar with the Dart in Dublin

    1. Dublin Coach will drop you at Bachelors Walk

    2. If you are determined to get the 32 your best option is to walk to Lower Abbey Street and catch it from stop 289 (that's the second stop on the route). The stop is here: http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/RTPI/Sources-of-Real-Time-Information/?searchtype=map&searchquery=(53.34899,-6.256273,289)

    3. If you are going to Malahide, personally I would walk to stop 497 on Amiens Street (opposite Connolly LUAS stop) as both the far more frequent 42 and the 32 bus routes stop there. It's roughly a 10 minute walk from Bachelor's Walk. That stop is here: http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/RTPI/Sources-of-Real-Time-Information/?searchtype=map&searchquery=(53.350503,-6.250701,497)

    The 32 timetable is here:
    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/321/

    The 42 timetable is here:
    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/422/

Allow about 1-2 minutes for the 32 to get to Abbey Street from the terminus, and about 3-5 minutes for both routes to get to Amiens Street.

I see the 42 leaves at the same time as 32 so it doesn't really matter which one I get as I am only going to arrive at bachelors walk for 12.30pm.

If I can get on in Tablot St that is fine with me.

Thanks I will check that out aswell. I see you mention opposite the Connolly Luas Stop but as I am not familar with that area what building/shop does it stop outside?

Don't bother with Talbot Street - the 42 goes from a different stop there further along the street.

Either go to Lower Abbey Street (it is closer to where you are being dropped off) for the 32, or go to Amiens Street for both.

Lower Abbey St looks to be the best option. I know that street well. Thanks

You will limit yourself to a not so frequent service if you just go for the 32 on Lower Abbey Street.

If you follow the LUAS lines, past Busaras (bus station) stop you will see a pub called The Brew Dock on a corner. Go round that corner and there is a bus stop about 30 metres ahead of you, outside Gandon House that both the 32 and 42 stop at.

As I mentioned lower abbey st is the best option but Dubin Bus did confirm that I could get the 32 on tablot st If I choose to do so.

Actually, as you have been told several times, Amiens Street is the best option as it is the first stop where both the 32 and 42 stop, and it is easily walkable, and you have the map link above.

But if you want to restrict yourself to the 32, then Abbey Street is the closest stop to where Dublin Coach will leave you.

I already confirmed that Talbot Street was a valid stop on the 32 in an earlier post, but I really don't know why you are persisting about that as it is further away.

I have posted the map link above for the stop.

What about getting the dart to malahide from Connolly if the place in malahide is nearby the dart station it's probably quicker and more frequent then the bus.

I used DublinCoach and Dublinbus. Very efficient.

Does anyone know if they have a service from Dublin City Centre to Santry. I am looking on their site and can't seem to find any.

    Route 1 from O'Connell Street
    Route 16 from O'Connell Street
    Routes 33, 41, 41b, 41c from Lower Abbey Street

Just to say that route 1 only goes to the start of Santry - if you want Northwood for example you'll need the other routes.
