    Any idea what it costs to have the fuel pump replaced on a 318ci petrol 2002?

    Not a DIY effort, moved to the main forum

    It's a pretty simple job, so labour shouldn't be that much. You'd DIY it in less than an hour. So it's all down to the price of the part.

    You're better off buying new because the same thing that happened your original one will more than likely happen a second hand one and you'll have to get the job done a second time. Buy cheap buy twice.

    I have had bad experiences with micksgarage so personally, I would be going to BMW and make sure of the part first before ordering.

    About €200 for the pump, ring a dealer with your vin. Fitting is less than 30 minutes (being generous).

    so on friday i had a new pump and relay put in, started fine, started twice yesterday ok then tried to start it a third time and its just turning over, any idea what may be wrong?

    How much did pump and relay cost, incl labour?

    Ring mechanic, they might be able to come out and check.
