Aer Lingus Mobile Check In - HELP!!!

    Hi

I've just done my boarding on my mobile for a flight tomorrow morning.

However, it has sent two links in a message to my mobile phone which when I click on them take me to a QR image for my check in.

The problem I have is that my phone is registered in Northern Ireland and therefore the Data portion is locked in RoI. Therefore I cannot access the secure Aer Lingus website at the airport to show my QR image.

Is there still a possibility to go through check in at the airport at no extra cost?

I've then tried sending it to an email address, but it only loads up the front page of the Aer Lingus site.

Finally, I went back onto my laptop and printed out the ticket from there.

    Is this the normal process?

You can reprint your boarding passes when you get to the Airport tomorrow, either at the self service machines or at the check in desk.

Just realised that on my new phone I press on the image it will download. I then show this image at the gate, correct?

    New phone causing me hassle!

You can but if you really want peace of mind you can reprint them when you get to the airport!

You can screenshot the image they send you in the email and just use that. That's what I did back in June travelling with Aer Lingus

Also used screenshot when using mobile boarding pass a few months ago, no problems.

Also for other users in a similar situation, Dublin airport has free-wi-fi so no problem accessing data there.

However, the screenshot idea works best.

Aer Lingus are supposed to be updating their app soon so that iOS users can add the boarding pass to their 'Wallet' which works a lot better than the link they send at present.

Ryanair passengers can add their boarding pass to the passbook app.. used it plenty of times during the year
