So myself and the OH have booked flights to Amsterdam for New Year's Eve.

Anyone done it before and if so, any recommendations for where is best to do it?

The options seem to be try get a ticket for one of the clubs, or head to one of the squares with some boozes and join the crowds (and avoid the firework throwing teens!)

    Thanks in advance!

Get a ticket for something, the bars will be completely rammed, the squares are grand but it will more than likely be quite cold !

We did it a few years ago, got tickets for an event in one of the fancy hotels for a rooftop champagne toast at midnight, think it was the amrath hotel. Definitely be careful of all the fireworks,it was a bit scary at times! We found it easy to get a table for dinner etc, but the pubs were all crazy busy. The hotel experience suited us much better!
