Fighting Mark de Mori on the 16th January.

People will have mixed views but I'm looking forward to him coming back, a fight with Joshua somewhere down the line is potentially massive. A fight against Wilder also interests me.

Does anyone know what happened to the announced link up between Haye and Matchroom? I remember a big press conference to announce the Charr fight. That didn't go ahead, then there was no sign of Hearn for either of the Fury announcements. He's confirmed on Twitter he has nothing to do with this either.

Haye is clever. Huge money to be made for a couple of domestic fights over the next couple of years potentially.

Never a fan of his at HW really but he has the potential to be exciting given the right match up, not at the level of a Klitschko obviously but he and Joshua would be a fight I'd be interested in, be a good fight for AJ to have on his way to the title and see if he is the real deal.

Dunno, he has a totally new team though. New trainer/promoter/everything else apparently.

Apaprently he is stuck for money.

Although he will make millions with fights with Fury and AJ.

Is he still with Adam Booth ?

    No, Shane McGuigan.

Delighted to see Haye back, it is just such a pity that he wasted the last 3 years of his career when he really could have had his way with every HW aside from Klitschko.

By the sounds of it Wilder is the target (reason he is fighting the same night) and you'd imagine then if that went to plan to face AJ in a mega fight with the WBC title on the line in the next 12-18 months.

I had a feeling Haye would be back. His career has been pretty boring-ordinary. Not a single signature win. Didn't do much, didn't suffer much, and simply faded away when he still was in his physical prime.

Jaysus that press conference setup looks low budget.

How come he is stuck for money already? Why did he step away from the ring if he hadn't secured his future when he was in perfect shape and a perfect position to do it, a loss to Klitschko is hardly a rarity, he could have made plenty of money fighting and spinning in the media he was very good at that. For him to come back just looks like he has wasted 3 years where he could have been earning large sums of money.

I can't help but feel he wasted his good years already. 3 years out might not seem too long but he could have stayed active with some fights.

I can't see him getting too far this time around.

I have a feeling that he will end up fighting Tyson Fury in 2016.Fury has been slagging him off big time over the last few months. The fight might suite both of them and they would both earn a few quid.

I assume Fury would go back for him alright, but it might take a bit of work since he wasted a year waiting on him before.

Wilder's belt is the target (cause he won't be taking the ones Klitschko has) Fury could be met on the path to that I guess

I am pretty sure Wlad will look to unify the division early next year though by taking Wilder's belt. (I remember reading somewhere that the WBC have given the go ahead for 2016 and you would assume Wlad really wants to be the man to unify the division again)

Just for the troll of it, I'd love to see Fury KO Wlad, Joshua KO Fury and then Haye KO Joshua.

Always liked Haye inside the ring, hate him outside it...utter knobhead. Good to have him back. The power should still be there but it's the speed I'm concerned about.

It's incredible and sad to see boxers who have earned millions of dollars end up destitute or stuck for money and then having to put their well being on the line by ill advised comebacks. Reading the depths to which warriors like Riddick Bowe have fallen is a little depressing.

Would some sort of scheme whereby a % of purses are withheld into some type of boxers "pension" fund not be a good idea (notwithstanding that it may have its own administrative complexities)

Apologies for the off topic veer

I know Haye is only coming back for the money but do we know that he is skint?

Seems to be an assumption based on a couple of things: I) he had a cheque bounce for a business deal in Dubai earlier in the year for £300k-ish. Could be lack of cash, could be just one of things, and ii) he sold his (boxing) ring for 60 grand on Ebay for profit, when people had assumed he was doing it for charity. He has always struck me as quite greedy so I personally wouldn't look into it too much, but again its hard to know.

This sums it up for me, had some great physical gifts for a fighter but lacked the heart of a champion, preferred to bully guys he knew he'd beat easily than take any risks.

I would also disagree with anybody who said he always looked in good shape, as I recall I felt he always looked gassed toward the end of the mid rounds...

I think people are being very harsh on Haye.

He unified the cruiserweight division .

Moved to heavyweight and won a world title.

That IMO is a fantastic career

I have said this many times: Aesthetically being in shape and cardio being in shape can differ. Haye always came in shape aesthetically speaking. If by people saying he was always well conditioned and fit (engine/cardio wise) then I agree with you. He wasn't unfit, but his cardo engine isn't something that stands out for me.

On the face of it, and out of context maybe, but like Walsh says, no defining win and lost against the only truly world class fighter he fought

Jean MArc Mormeck, Valuev, Klitchsko.. Are these men that were easily bullied?

Aye, although even aesthetically I felt he looked less ripped/bit heavier in latter years

Speaking of CW, O Neil Bell the former undisputed champ (and the most recent undispiuted champ) was shot dead yesterday. RIP.

Of course, which is only natural when adding weight to your frame to bulk up. Less ripped, more bulked. Either way he was aesthetically in shape! He's far too vain to be any other way!

Hes still as a good a finisher as there is, so hes got a chance against anyone. I think hed put Fury away with ease

I definitely think the Mormeck win was a very good one. He showed a lot of heart and guts Both in going to France and in the fight itself. Really good fight actually.
