Question 4 – Bill Query

Irish Water bills are calculated on either an assessed or metered rate.

If you have a meter installed, you will be billed on your consumption for the billing cycle. Assessed bills are calculated based on average consumption and are set at a capped charge. Two or more adults will receive a maximum charge of €260 for the year, and €160 for a single occupancy household.

Non-permanently occupied houses are charged a minimum €125 per year.

If you have a query about you bill, or think you may be incorrectly billed, please send the following details by private message:

- - Name;
- - Address; and
- - Contact number.

Question 5 – Child Allowance of 0 on bill when two children registered in household

As you are on a metered charge your children's allowance should be reflected on your bill. However, if you were on an un-metered charge your children's allowance would not be seen on your bill as the assessed charge takes these allowances into consideration

We can look into this matter for you if you wish, please PM the following details and we will be happy to investigate this further for you:

- Name;
- Address; and
- Contact Number.
