Yes they do accept from Dunnes but not M&S, according to here "We accept spend & save coupons only from Dunnes Stores, SuperValu, Lidl and Aldi"

It was once confirmed on their twitter feed that m&s vouchers are indeed accepted

I used an M&S voucher '€5 off €25' tonight in tesco, maynooth.
I used the self service tills. Told the guy i had a voucher and he reduced the amount by €5.
No hassle or issues so i guess it depends on who you get at the till.

Anyone tried to use this without printing, just showing the image on a phone?

Tescos only accept competitors vouchers. There is no M&S in Limerick, so this is why the cashier said she would refuse my M&S voucher when I enquired in September in Tesco Coonagh.

Won't work. Cashiers' tills have to tally at the end of a shift and self service tills require vouchers to be inserted

    You can see it here

I don't remember when I saw it, might pop them a question on twitter!

The electronic version of the M&S grocery voucher worked for me in M&S Grafton Street today. No issue accepting the image on my phone.

I used this in tesco on Sunday and they accepted it. The cashier had to go and ask a manager, it took a while, but it was worth it :)

It does'n help that the voucher says 'Only M&S'

I would imagine that officially the policy is that it's restricted to Tesco's four major competitors with nationwide footprints. As another poster mentioned, there's no real benefit in Tesco stores accepting M&S and Iceland vouchers if there are no M&S or Iceland stores within a reasonable distance.

I would say though that individual store managers have the discretion to accept M&S and Iceland vouchers where these stores are near to particular Tesco outlets.

In any case, Tesco customer service has been hopelessly contradictory and inconsistent on this issue. Only in September they replied to a question on Twitter saying, firstly, that they didn't accept M&S vouchers but came back a day or two later and said that they actually did! Go figure!

Tesco Customer Care usually haven't got the slightest clue what's going on. Neither do managers often!

The new signs in stores say Lidl/Aldi/Supervalu/Dunnes only whereas they used to say "competitor". The M&S vouchers are particularly problematic as most of them are infinitely reprintable at home whereas Tesco's own vouchers and the competitor ones they do state they accept are not.

If you can get them to take them, go ahead, but I wouldn't even consider trying to make a scene over it.
