Eircom f2000 respond to ping

    Hi All
    Anyone know how to get this modem to respond to ping
    Ip phone requires ping but pinging the static address times out I get no reply so I am thinking the modem is not responding to ping or some security feature is preventing it

    I just got that modem so dont know a lot about it but I can ping it using the modem address from my pc connected by lan cable? You say IP phone is that VOIP? Did you try and ping from within the modem using tools?

    I highly doubt your phone requires a ping response.

    You don't want it responding to ping on WAN really, and it does respond on LAN.

    Thats what i was told this h323 phone tries to configure itself through your network and requires ping or it will not connect

    Yes I can ping the modem from the lan

    Anyone able to try this for me
    If you have the eircom fibre modem f2000
    Pinging the current external Ip address from outside of your own network

    I did find a disable ICMP flood protection tickbox but still no reply to ping
    Need to get this working
