    Hello all i have Retinitis pigmentosa since I was 5 years old. In the last year I feel my eyesight has got worst. I was just wondering has there been any cure out there yet. I hear alot of people is going to America to get treatment for different eyesight problems. but I don't know if they treat Retinitis pigmentosa. if any1 has any info would be a big help.

    Hi marty, unfortunately there is no treatment yet for RP. There are some gene therapies in the pipeline but they're not ready for human use. Have you been in touch with Fighting Blindness? www.fightingblindness.ie They are a good resource.
