I had quick read of the first few pages of the wanker watch thread, and unbeknownst to myself, it turns out I've been doing this living thing WRONG, as I fit more than one of the criteria in the thread, and am therefore by decree of the people (of the internet), a massive wanker.

But this isn't the impression I wish to project to others anymore, and with the help of the good people of AH, want to create this thread as an alternative to the wanker watch thread, and attempt to see what traits one would find in a generous, warm and plesent individual, and help myself and ****stains like me to become useful members of society. It probably won't be as fun to catelogue the positive traits in people as it is to list the negative but let's see how it goes.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

Somebody who keeps promises, i.e. when they tell you they'll do something or be somewhere at a certain time, you better believe the will stick to their word, and if they don't, you fear the absoloute worst for them.

Someone who is genuinely, laugh out funny, and is so without resorting too much of insulting people or 'bantz'; not that there's anything wrong with ripping the piss, but the person who doesn't need to resort to that all the time is usually less of a prick.

Someone who remembers things about you, whether they be positive or embarrassing things, even something as simple as your name when you've only just got to know a person, the sheer amount of people out there who on second introduction say "sorry, I forget your name" or call you something different.

Jokes aside, anyone I know who is bang on usually has a positive view on the world and dont let things bother them.
It usually shows through their body language too. Theyre relaxed and easy going, and humble.

They make you feel comfortable in their company without trying.
And you feel like you can tell them anything and you know they wont judge you for it.

    Humble being the key word!
What curtain twitcher or general nark you know is humble or doesnt think the world owes them something?

A person with integrity. Someone who is very honest and has good morals. For example, someone who wouldn't steal your mobile phone if he found it, but instead would try to get it back to it's owner(same could be said about other things like a wallet). Someone who would help someone in need of help, like say an old woman, or if a person was hurt. Someone who would step in to help someone if they were getting attacked or beaten up. But basically someone who has good principles and has a good moral code.

Surely it's the men who snowball after a blow job that are the keepers?

A big one for me is someone who stands up to a bully on behalf of a weaker guy. It's not an easy thing to do but it's a good sign that someone has a lot of integrity.

Another kind of funny person that I think generally denotes a sound person is when they mightn't be actively funny, have a particularly strong sense of humour, they don't tell "jokes" and they don't go around trying to get reactions out of people.

They're just really sound, friendly, everything they say is said with a smile on their face and you just like being around them.

I know a few lads like that - they wouldn't win any comedy awards but that doesn't stop me having a stupid grin on my face at all times when I'm around them.

We used to leave ours in the parking spot outside to stop other cars parking in the spot while we were gone out, but anytime the neighbour would notice it they would bring it back in and someone would inevitably park in the spot.

    They had good intentions though.
