Bikes on a train!

    Anyone know if it's possible to put the bike on a train from dub to tullamore? Hoping to on Saturday. .

    You'll likely need to book for an intercity service in any case.

    I've done it a few times on the athlone train. no issues. booking in advance is a good idea

    I did this the opposite way a few months back, had no issues. Well, apart from the fact that I was supposed to get off at Kildare but forgot to get off at Portarlington to switch trains...Didn't pre-book, didn't pay any extra fee. I regularly have the bike with me at Heuston heading back to Newbridge and the main issue is usually the limited bike spaces being quickly filled, so I try to get there around 20 mins or so ahead of departure time to make sure there's still space.
