swear i must have a faulty box i have been trying all night to watch diff links and none of them work or they time out im using 100mg wifi and on kodi and thats all i use it for, and have only ever been able to watch one movie on it, is it something i havent done? or is it just faulty?

Have you got parental controls running on router, virgin or are you running opendns family something likenthat. Possible ISP may have blocked some of the sources. What addon are you using to watch?

Many thanks to Aquos76 for arranging all of this! Really appreciate it :)

Can confirm I got the correct satellite version also, so I think that must be all present and correct accounted for now.

Just picked up mine this evening and have just tried turning it on, however there's something wrong somewhere as its not turning on at all.

Used a multimeter to check the power lead with Ac/dc adaptor and its not getting any current or power at all.

    Anyone else have issues?

The plug adaptor that came with it can be dodgy.

Thanks, good to know it's not just me then!

I was thinking it would be just my luck to get the one dud out of the 250+ that's been ordered.

Plug adaptor is definitely DOA , no power or current passing through it at all. Dead as a dodo.

Just tried another adaptor from another device I have, I'm now getting an orange solid light on the front of the box. Still not working though. Can't get it to power on at all.

Remote seems to be working fine, so its not that.

Big thanks to Aquos76 - absolute gent. Arrived in PM on Saturday evening, picked up Saturday evening, up and running within 5 minutes :D

Initial impressions - They are a fantastic little box. I think they've done a great job with their WeOS (android+skin). RTE player is sh**e on them but I gather that is the same on any (most) android device (hit and miss basically) so the Wetec isn't at fault :D [shakes fist at RTE]

    Thanks again.

To get around the crappy RTE Player in Android, download and install this in KODI

    Try a different HDMI cable.

I've had to this orange light problem. To me this sounds like the box is failing to boot.

Can you get into the recovery screen?

    Here is how to check.

Make sure MSD slot is empty.

Unplug power cable from back of box. Turn box upside down. Use a toothpick or something similar to press in the button hidden under the tiny hole (you should hear a click)

Keeping button pressed in, stick the power cable in and wait for about 20 seconds. Eventually you should see an android recovery screen with 5 or 6 options.

If you get that far then come back for more help.

The both remotes work on one box, but neither on the other?

Open the box, and you should see two USB dongles, top one is for the remote, take it out and plug it into a PC and see if it works.

Try this in your PC - http://i.imgur.com/usGiBUW.jpg?1

    and

    I1kzxUk.jpg?1

The bottom one is Wetek Security for their firmware, so leave that where it is.

If you've tried different images, and a different remote, I'm guessing it's the dongle. If it is, you can probably replace it. Wetek may send it over.

If it isn't, then it could be drivers, if not, I'm not sure what it could be.

    Yes, I think.
I can't think what else may be causing that, but someone else may have a better idea.

HD channels under openelec seem to be a bit problematic, they seem to pause for a spilt second fairly often, I have it setup using vdr.

Interested in one of these if I think I know what it does. Anyone wanna catch me up, too many pages to read through.

What is out of the box achievable in the openelec box. Access wise.
