Unions at the CIÉ State transport group have warned of industrial action if management moves to introduce unilateral changes to pension arrangements at the group

Management and unions were due to meet this afternoon to discuss pension issues - though that meeting has been postponed due to a Labour Court hearing on the recent rail dispute which is likely to take longer than anticipated.

They wanted to cut into everyone's pension if the drivers wanted what they were looking for. The union is not even going to consider it. It's the company's way of taking the piss just to say they offered a solution.

The one thing you dont mess with is the pension end of. Its also the one thing that would trigger the "Nuclear Option" of a national transport strike and it would have Enda and friends hiding under the couch if it happened!
