Hi I just bought a second hand suzuki grand vitara 07 long wheel base.it looked mint and on the short test drive it was fine. However after parting with the cash about 20 kilometres down the road it started emitting a cloud of smoke that covered the whole Rd making it dangerous for other traffic.
I turned off the engine for few min and started to drive again. 5 mind later the same ting but then the all the power went from the engine with no warning lights on the dash. What could this be?

Go back to seller and see what they have to say. You probably bought it privately in which case you have no legal rights for refund etc.
What colour is the smoke? Does it smell of anything?

What car model and year is it? Diesel/petrol?

Was the temperature up? Did you check the oil level afterwards?

Yes I bought it private and the seller is being a right dick. The smoke was more white than black. I had a mechanic check it out and straight away before he even looked at it he knew it was the turbo. He drained the oil through the exhaust when it blows, anybody know who does cheap turbos or could I recondition it?

Please don't use text speak on boards. I have fixed your posts but they're very hard to read if you don't use English.
