Credit Union Dividends Form 11

    Hi,

I am completing Form 11 for 2014 - I received credit union dividends where the DIRT was already taken.

There is a section for (c) Irish Credit Union Dividends, however this clearly states Irish Untaxed Income.

Where and how exactly should this be entered in Form 11 as I wish to still disclose this (i.e. I am unsure if the dividend amount after DIRT was deducted at source is to be considered as income for tax calculation purposes)?

    Thanks for the help.

It should be disclosed under "Gross Deposit Interest Received on which DIRT was deducted Taxable at 41%"

Only dividends on which no DIRT was deducted should be included in the Irish Untaxed Income section.

Gross figure should be included and you will get a credit for the DIRT paid in the calculation section. It will be shown as Retention Tax Credit.
