Hi guys,
Exactly one week after changing the alternator in my 2008 mondeo, it looks like I will be doing the same with my 03 micra.
It stopped the other day, red battery light and then took a few times to start again and was fine.
Tried it today and started no problem 3 times, the fourth time it sounded like it was going to start but just couldn't and again, the red battery light came on but it goes again when it starts up.

Is it the alternator? How much will it set me back. Car trouble is following me! These things definitly come in 3's!

if you have a multi meter you could check your charging status at the battery.
or if you have a trusted motor factors they would check the charging & load test the battery for you.
