    Hi

I need advice we are installing a back boiler stove in to our living room our house is 13 years old semi detached house. We always thought you needed flexi flue pipe for chimney but the plumber says we don't need it. Rang around a few places plumbing companies say no but stove companies say yes for carbon monoxide and chimney fire. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

I think they help with the air flow / draw of the stove and hence the performance of the back boiler mainly.

They can be installed in existing chimneys though so I don't see the issue? Unless chimneys that old had a smaller diameter?

Do you mind me asking what stove did you go for?
