Are there any special movies or shows you look forward to seeing over Christmas on TV ? Not neccessarily Christmas movies but just stuff that you like to watch at that time of year. Any favourites you are hoping will come up this year ?

    Mine would include........

The Snowman. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. The Grinch. Deck The Halls. A really good James Bond movie like Diamonds are Forever. Die Hard 2, LA Confidential. Gremlins. The Santa Claus. Christmas with the Cranks. The Any of the Carry On Movies, any Alfred Hitchcock movie.

We always watch: Elf, Home Alone, Die Hards, Harry Potters and Star Wars

Last year we watched Arthur Christmas for the first time and it's going to be our Christmas film with the kids on Christmas eve for the foreseeable.

Edit: we're also going to watch inside out on Christmas day after we've stuffed our faces ☺

Arthur Christmas is on RTE1 on Saturday 5th December at 6:35pm.
The previous Saturday (28th Nov) The Santa Clause is on at 6:35pm
And the previous Saturday to that (21st Nov) it's the Polar Express.

We try and watch a Christmas film as a family every evening here from the 1st of December! Some of our favourites are miracle on 34th street, the santa claus 1-3 :) frozen and muppet christmas carol. It's only in the last two years I have been able to stay at home with the kids. Up until then I worked shift so was never able to do any traditions with the kids so we try make a nice evening for them for the month of December !
