Hi, I have a new LG TV and Panasonic Sound Bar which are connected via an Optical cable. At the moment I can only view the Sound Bar menu on the Sound Bar which makes changing options a pain! Does anyone know if there is a way I can get to view and change the options of the Sound Bar menu on the TV itself?
    Thanks

    Options as sound field?
Probably not - if both where the same manufacturer you might have a higher chance. Which "bar " is it

A quick scan of the manual shows support for "Viera cast " and arc - which means the sound field can only be controlled via the remote while the volume can be controlled via the TV.

Thanks for that information. Much appreciated. However, do you know if there is any way I can get the menu options, ie to choose which surround feature, to appear on the tv? There are various sound options you can have, ie, movie, documentary etc. but to access them you have to physically get out of the chair, stand over and point the remote control at the soundbar. I don't know how other soundbars work but if you can't change the options from your armchair I would say the design is pretty naff!
