    Hi guys,

Anyone know if post is more likely to get to Dublin by Tuesday if I it in Galway's GPO post box tonight than it would be if I sent it through the post office tomorrow afternoon?

I could express of swiftpost through the post office I guess, but I was supposed to have dropped this thing in the post box on Friday evening so I don't want the sent date to be evident! (it's a college assignment, nobody's waiting on it... don't judge me!!)

I can imagine that it will get there for Tuesday, there is a full working day tomorrow so it should be in the 1 pm collection at least and be in the Dublin sorting office by Monday evening.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

    Thanks guys.

Just spoke to customer service office in Dublin, and apparently, for regular post it makes no difference what time of day you post it, and for express post you should have it sent by 4pm.

    So there you have it!

You can only track parcels, registered post or express post. And usually only within Ireland.

If you stick two stamps on the envelope it will arrive twice as quick. Don't let them see you doing this in the post office though, it's one of those secrets they don't want the general public to know about.
