Power Shower - no cold water!

My power shower only has boiling water! If I try to turn the knob to let some cold water through it doesn't work. Even if I put it fully on cold it won't work. So basically I have to wait til the really hot water starts to drain in order go use it!

When I do turn the knob down to cold the water flow decreases dramatically.

Any idea what the problem is and is it an easy fix?

Sounds like you know the answer. There's no cold water. Either there is no cold water coming to the unit or there's something wrong inside it. I'd check the cold supply pipe first. Kinks, closed valve, airlock. Maybe open the nearest accessible joint to the shower (bearing in mind there's probably water in it so don't do this unless you're prepared).
After verifying that the water supply is good I'd have a look inside the unit.

What is the make and model of the power shower?

There are filters inside, one on the hot and one on the cold.

It's possible that the thermostat cartridge needs replacing. If this is the case I'd imagine that the thermostat in the hot press isn't working and the water is too hot for the shower.

It's possible that a part between the cold inlet and the cartridge has collapsed.

Do you have a stand alone pump for this shower. The issue could be with the pump.

More information please if you can
