Backed Jack Dexter all season....except today!!

Thought Fran Berry gave Iveagh Gardens far too much to do there.

Rancid ride by Charles Bishop on Mobsta in that last race at Doncaster. Didnt try a tap on it, and wasnt beaten far.

    Not Geraghty's finest hour there.

What's the chance of Simonsig running in the Champion Hurdle this year??? Strange but it could be an option for the horse instead of going over fences.

Two cracking runs from the first two.

to the untrained eye (mine) it looks like geraghty was trying to play it so cool and then cruise home at a trot to win. grrr.

Amazing effort given he's been out for 3 years basically. Barry had the long game in mind.

And we'll done to Bob's Worth aswell.

Thousand Stars wins at Auteuil under Ruby

How bad a Grade 1 must have that been for Thousand Stars to win it? Fair play to Mullins for that one!

Hope they drop Simonsig back to 2m let him jump his rivals into the ground. It would be a waste trying to stretch him to 3m I think. Great to see him back but it's hard to get a grip on that form with Bob's Worth seemingly on a downward spiral for over a year and the Ferguson horses not going in that ground.

Ferguson's was strongly fancied until the off, so no suggestion the ground didn't suit. It's wrong to try and downplay both performances from Bob and Simonsig. They were both brilliant.

Purple Bay beaten just over 30L. He hasn't run his race for whatever reason and Bob's Worth has been on a downwards spiral for a while now. Visually it was a taking reappearance from Simonsig but you have to question the form and therefore too early to say he's "back".

Simonsig and Bobs Worth today was a strange race, don't know what to make of it. Very similar to Sprinter's comeback was Simonsig.

    Did purple bay stay?

Wasn't its best form over 2m?

I know Aintree is a tight track, but maybe Kempton 2m is a track that suits Purple bay.

When I first looked at the race I was all for Purple bay and a lay of Simsonsig, but changed my mind and didnt bet and thought the race looked very trappy and when the race started it didnt seem very strong pace.

The most important thing is that there are more positives to take from the race, especially the first 2 home and lets hope they go and have a good season

Really impressed with Gwencily Berbas aswell today. Can't wait to see him jump a fence.

I was actually stood next to Nicky Henderson during that race today. The look on his face at the end could best be described as total astonishment!

I would have to question Geraghty's ride on Simonsig. Reminds me of his ride on Burton Port a few years ago when he didn't want to beat long run. Bobs worth was backed in b4 the off too while Simonsig drifted. Someone knew something. Did nt back anything myself

Nicky Henderson should take a look at the Stayers' Hurdle with Bobs Worth. He's never going to another Gold Cup but he'd have a decent chance in what looks like a very open staying hurdle division this season.

The only thing you could question is the 10 lengths he gave bobs worth at the start, he did nothing wrong at the end of the race, simonising had nothing left to give.

It was fairly clear at the end of the race that Geraghty was hanging on to very little and trying to nurse the horse home. He had ran much too free and was always going to get tired which is no surprise after such a long absence. It was very poor commentary on Channel 4. The caller sounded convinced that Geraghty was full of horse and was about to hack up.
