Airbag Warning Light - Peugeot 206

    Hi
I've an 04 206 we've owned for almost 10 years and have had virtually no issues with it.
Last night the airbag warning light illuminated on the dash and it stays on now.
Manual suggests contacting a Peugeot main dealer. I'm just trying to pre-empt the likely outcomes:
    1. Dyagnostics show nothing and warning light is cleared,or
    2. Dyagnostics show a sensor is bust and replacement sensor required, or
    3. Much more serious and probably more likely that there is a true airbag fault in which case what happens, will it require the removal and replacement of airbag(s) and anyone any idea how much pocket money id have to save up to cover this?
    Thanks for listening.

Probably just a bad connection somewhere. An actual faulty airbag would be very rare.

Also there's no need to go to a main dealer. Most garages should be able to plug into the car.

Thanks for this. I'll call by my local mechanic next week so. Cheers.

If it's a 3 door probably a sensor under the seat come lose from moving seat to gain access to back.

Its the 5 door. Are the sensors in the same spot would you know?

Check out the stalks too. They give lots of trouble and the sign is the lit airbag light

A 2nd hand unit if you had to buy one is about €60 onwards
