    Hi

I applied for the engineering programme but I'd say we will all hear around the same time regardless of what we applied for! Will let you know if I hear anything!

    That'd be great, thank you!

Hi I applied for this too, my friend got a call on Wednesday and is through to the next stage so I hope to hear something soon

Oh, I wonder should I take no news as bad news. :( Thanks for the reply!

I wouldn't lose hope yet, I'd say there's loads of applications to get through because they take on about 40 graduates! Fingers crossed :)

    Hi Kab 92

Did your friend have a phone interview on Wednesday? Also did guys apply for the bio or engineering programme ☺

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 thatperson

I got a call on Sunday saying I was through to the assessment centre which is Wednesday/Thursday (very short notice). It was basically a mini interview on the phone, was not at all prepared, she said she had a couple questions to ask and was that ok I said yes and she asked a couple like am I eligible to work in Ireland etc. and then launched into about 5 or 6 questions about why I want Pfizer and my strengths etc. Was a total shock, if I knew it was those type of questions I would have said now isn't a good time as I was literally out the door heading to work!

Any idea on what goes on at the recruitment day? Mine is applied for the Bio graduate programme

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 Niall.kirwan92

Two of my friends got a call from them and also had the same on the spot mini interview.

For the assessment day your best bet is to have possible answers to some of the most asked competency questions. Know your CV inside and out as well as some of the subjects that you studied which you feel are most applicable to pfizer. They might have group activities and or presentations but there is rely nothing you can do to prepare for that.

All in all, know your CV, degree and pfizer and you should do fine.

Applied for new bridge myself and the application only closed last Friday (was extended) so hoping to hear from them :-)

I wouldn't worry, two of my friends in my class got invited too ( for the engineering programme) and still waiting on an email to say if there going on Wednesday or Thursday! From the sounds of it with the short notice and all there a little unorganised

Got the email after midnight this morn, I'm in Thursday!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 thatperson

Still no sign of the email for a few of us who go the call from my class in UCC, so hopefully later today!

Niallkirwan92, my friend did get a mini phone interview last Wednesday, they said they'd email details to her yesterday which I assume is for an assessment centre or something. I applied for the bio-pharmaceutical and science programme. Haven't heard anything yet so I doubt I'll get anywhere now. Do any of you guys have a masters?

I'm still waiting on this email, had the phone interview yesterday. did it say what would be taking place at the assessment centre day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 K.O24

Still waiting on an email. Got the call on Sunday night, they said they would sent an email in the next couple of days about the assessment on Wednesday/Thursday. Still nothing, I thought you'd get an email either way :(

Did anyone here going to the AC for a role in Newbridge? Applied last week ( closing date was last Friday) so wondering if there is a separate AC for Newbridge

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 K.O24

I applied for that too, i'd say its totally separate to be honest. Anyone hear anything today? If they want people to be there tomorrow its very short notice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 thatperson

Anyone I know who got the call one Sunday (including me) still have no sign of the email which is pretty ridiculous! I need to know what time to get up for the long drive. I call grange castle earlier and got the email of a HR woman who is organizing it and I still never heard back from her so I have no idea what's happening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 K.O24

Appreciate the reply, I have no idea but glad i'm not the only one. i'm worried because I have compulsory labs that I can't miss. If I do get an email back i'd say it'll have to be for thursday or they may even push it back to next week.

Hey, Just wondering was there an interview at the assessment centre?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 228 ✭✭NoHarm1994

Sorry I have only just seen this, there was no interview at the assessment centre. Interviews for successful applicants are next Monday/ Tuesday :) Best of luck!!

Was there anyone at the assessment centre that was going for a role in Newbridge? Wondering if there's a separate AC for them

One of the Pfizer people said it was just for Grange Castle, so must be a separate AC!

I have heard back and so has a friend of mine, we both have interviews. I wouldn't lose hope though, there are a lot of applicants so perhaps they are still working through the applications.

I assume if people are being interviewed it's probably right about time to lose hope :D Oh well, onto the next one!!

I applied for a role in Grangecastle, not a graduate role. I was just wondering what happens at the AC? They said they would call me to attend one at the beginning of December. Cheers for any replies!!

Might be different at different ACs, but the grad one consisted of a 30 min aptitude test (verbal reasoning and maths, abstract reasoning) and then a group discussion on a fictional scenario. Good luck!

That's great cheers!! I've never done something like this before so it's all very new to me!! I assume it was a formal dresscode?

The AC was 'smart casual', and the interview 'smart' for the graduate programme. Best of luck!

Noharm1994, how was the interview? What type of questions did they ask?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 228 ✭✭NoHarm1994

Interview went great! There were a mix of behavior based (Tell me a time when you...) and technical (Can you tell me what you know about..) questions. Nothing too difficult, here is a great video which helped me prepare https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si434ZntKOw :)

Thanks Niharm1994, that's video is rely good! Did ask you technical questions about your degree or there processes and how they make the tablets? Went to the Newbridge AC and want to be best prepared in case I get an interview ☺

More of a common question between the two. So I went for a QC role and my degree is a molecular science so they asked me about aseptic technique and how I would solve a problem with a batch etc. I wouldn't know what kind of stuff you as an engineer would need but I 'd imagine just a basic knowledge of the practical elements to your course. Hope this helps!

Hi, I had the interview phase recently a week after the AC, just wondering how long it took them to get back to you and if you were successful or not?

    Thanks

Have you heard anything yet? I haven't and based on how quick they responded after the AC I've lost hope.
