Non-branded insulated plasterboard

I priced and bought some insulated plasterboard the other day in Monaghan to apply to the window reveals. I wasn't there for the delivery but when I checked this evening there was no brand name on them. On the front of the insulation there was no foil either (other side to the plasterboard)

Should I be ok with them or should I ask the supplier where they've come from and should I have been given a cert to specify they comply with regs?

They were also a bit damaged around the edges. Also the number of screws were wrong and I was way over billed for them!

I would personally want to see a cert for them showing their thermal conductivity values for BER Calculations etc.

Also I would be wanting to know the brand so you could know what type insulation is on the boards, is it PIR, Or what is it??

    Is it CE stamped???

These would be questions I'd want answers too.

I spoke with the supplier earlier and the assured me it was Xtratherm stock. I rang Xtratherm quoting the batch numbers on the sides and they assured me it was genuine and is indeed PIR. Better safe than sorry!

Good, at least you know now what it is and who it is manufactured by. Now you can get a cert for it from xtratherm for BER Calculations

Was there a saving pricing it yourself?

Not sure what you mean? I'm pricing everything myself. I think the other supplier supplied another brand so made a modest saving.

It's actually mad how a small saving here and there can add up to a few thousand come the end of the build. And as I am finding out myself now, it's the end that is quite expensive

I just bought a nice bath in Amazon and got it shipped over at a cost of 80 euro and still made a 100 quid saving over the cheapest Irish price. Even with the weak euro they still can't compete.
