If you're thinking of going, have a listen to this classic, should help you decide. :)

What if its just the post-RJD pop stuff?

Flights are available for about 50 euro but the hotel I was looking at on tripadvisor yesterday near the venue is now showing "no availability" for the 25th!

Is 72 quid and tickets on sale before you know who is playing in the band is a bit mad, could be Adam Lambert on vocals for all ya know. In comparison Whitesnake are doing a Deep Purple heavy set with Def Leppard co headlining and Black Star Riders in support tickets 60 quid.

The last tour he did in 1997 played nothing off "Rising" below is the last show of that tour...
    1. Spotlight Kid
    2. Long Live Rock 'n' Roll
    3. Mistreated
      (Deep Purple cover)
    4. Wolf to the Moon
    5. Difficult to Cure
    6. Still I'm Sad
      (The Yardbirds cover)
    7. Man on the Silver Mountain
    8. The Temple of the King
    9. Black Masquerade
    10. Ariel
    11. Blues
    12. Since You Been Gone
      (Russ Ballard cover)
    13. Perfect Strangers
      (Deep Purple cover)
      Encore:
    14. Burn
      (Deep Purple cover)
    15. Vielleicht das nächste Mal (Maybe Next Time)

Sounds more like Deep Rainbow. Maybe he should just have called it the Ritchie Blackmore Experience.

I'm going to the Birmingham gig next Saturday so I presume it'll be the same setlist.
Yeah would like to see more Rainbow and less Purple songs.
