I'd like to do this to raise money for 'men's cancer'. But how do I actually raise money?

Put it on a high shelf.

I resent Movember; not because I can't actually grow a moustache without looking like Gary Neville's brother, but because I think people's incentive for doing so is quite selfish and not for charity one bit. Incentives aside, though, charities do get quite a lot of money so I guess the grower's reasons don't really matter.

I don't like the way American's took this and made it PC and universal so they called it "No Shave November" and encouraged women to go hairy for the month.

You should start the month (ah today is near enough) clean shaven and not shave for the month. You can style and groom if you want a special type of Stache.

Log onto https://ie.movember.com to create a profile page where you can put up your before, during and after pics, blog about your month, advertise any events you organise. People can donate to you directly through your page which has its own link you can give people. If you raise money through a sponorship card, you make donation for that amount on your own page (use your debit card to donate and then lodge money to your bank a/c)

You can create a group of people on your page if you have a few buddies joining you. Competition for most money raised on site also.

If your facial hair (especially mustaches) grows past a certain length it starts producing 5 euro notes at the ends of some hairs. Like an apple tree.

Give money to people with beards. They'll make sure it gets to the right cause.

    You mean Phil Neville?

You grow a moustache and pretend you raised money, but really you did it to be cool.

When you begin to look like a paedophile due to the tash, quietly shave and say no more.

Money fairies will deposit money in the black babies box on your behalf.

First if all, get rid of any sense of humour, because the whole concept is painfully unfunny.

Movember tends to attract the same 'mad lads' that don wacky xmas jumpers

Yep, people who get their sense of humour from Ryan Tubridy.
