Ive settled on getting a BMW 3 series after some consideration....

Somewhere between 2011-2013 Should I just wait until the new year.

How substantially will they come down?

I'm thinking I'll get it through BMW as the warranty seems quite good unless anyone else has any other suggestions??

Used cars don't drop in value on January 1st, dealers usually start dropping the price of them towards the middle of November to make room for trade ins come the new year. It could well be Feb/March of next year before they start dropping them again.

If you have an old car to trade in then that changes things a bit as your old car's value will drop also. I'd start doing a bit of shopping around now and get an idea of prices, if your under no pressure to buy then you can afford to be patient and wait. BTW there was a new 3 Series launched in mid 2012 so these models will cost a bit more money than the older model.
