    Hi guys,

Been looking at upgrading to a 4K TV, for a mixtures of movies, sports and gaming. Smart features or tuners are not important as I'll connecting standalone boxes. Digital audio out would be a boon.

So far, I've been looking at the Samsung 60JU6400 and the Sony 55X8509 -- are there any others I should be considering? Max budget is €1800, but keen to keep it down too!

    Based in Dublin.

    Hi thanks for the question.

The Sony is an excellent TV, and a personal favorite brand of myself, it offers superb picture quality and has a motion processing of a 1000hz so should cope excellently with your sports and gaming.  Another one worth thinking about is the Samsung ue55ju6800  http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201548-ue55ju6800.aspx .  This features Samsungs latest Nano technology display, this allows 1.2x more colour to be displayed, the picture on these tv's is simply breathtaking
