I see Journal selling a 80 page Farm Buildings book.
Is it a collection of Farm Building articles from the Journal or is it something else?

    Same here
I would be interested in costings of various design layouts

    Thanks
Any sign of that book since ?

I actually found the book and ordered it online myself ( had to do a search on their site -as it did not appear to be listed otherwise )
Thought I would have it Tuesday or even today but still no sign

This wait reminds me that I used to subscribe to the journal ( quite a few years back so it was the paper edition ) it used to arrive on the Monday 4-5 days after it was available in the shops )
Needless to say I did not subscribe since.

It arrived Tuesday here anyhow . It is a collection of past articles I'd say (I don't get the journal that often so can't be sure )
For €10 its not too bad but it hasn't too much spec or detailed pricing in it really .
One of the members here has a shed in it !

Is it worth getting though Bullocks?
Anyone have the link? I did a quick search there and couldn't find it.

Just about but in fairness its only the price of a box of fags so won't leave anyone too disappointed
If anyone in Galway wants to take mine for a read they are welcome to it

Always found those articles to be very simplistic. Made for interesting reading but rarely was anything relevant.

Would there be any chance of a sticky on sheds? Lads can post up pictures of their setups, share plans, advice and costs? Even experiences with the planning application, drawings and suppliers?

I had come to the conclusion that it was not listed on their site but I found if you
type "building" into the search space on top right corner it will be listed after loads of books that have nothing to do with building .
Don't hold your breath I ordered mine last October (31st) and still no sign.

(just noticed on the add in the paper to allow 10 days for delivery so I should not be getting worried till next week - unless they mean working days (office days) then I might have it by next Friday  )

Now took a look at email receipt "We trust that you will receive your product within 22 days"
Now that is just F***ing ludicrous :mad::mad::mad:

It came today 12 after ordering.
Just flicked through it so far it is not the drawing - dimensions - I was hoping for ( If it included costings would have been a bonus) .
The only drawing in the book looks like the one on the cover

I guess you really cant judge this book by its cover.

It is a book with good quality coloured pictures and articles basically done in the similar format as the " Farm Buildings" articles from the Farmers Journal ( I don't get this paper that often so I don't know if they are the same articles)
I thought it might have been a book like my father had with diagrams and dimensions for milking parlors collecting yards and animal accommodation

Teagasc would have detailed books on drawings for sheds and parlour

    Great suggestion for sticky!

The buildings section in the journal I always look forward too, but I spend most of my time looking at the pictures wondering what is joined to what! Wouldn't you think if you were trying to communicate a design/layout in an article, you'd include a plan drawing?

I swear every day I'm getting grumpier!!
