I seen a post on Facebook that Rathsallagh is getting reopened in a few months, work has already started. Never played it but can only be good news.

The post was liked by Royal Tara Pro Shop on someones page, don't think it would be appropriate to link their page so here's the image
Looking forward to the re-opening of Rathsallagh Golf Club in the coming months,
and his crew hard at it getting course back in shape

I was down there two weeks ago collecting conkers with the kids and was disappointed to see no work started on the course at that stage. They hav'nt updated there website yet will be interesting to see what membership offer they'll have ?.

Cracking track but unfortunately the location coupled with the 5 hour round there kills it for a viable membership option from Dublin.

Played it today, course is looking great, some classy holes. Big 100 year old trees line the fairways. Greens weren't the best as you would expect, they will have to put a good bit of money into it as its very rough around the edges, but considering its only back open its looking great. Long may it last

Played there last Sunday - couldn't fault the greens overall and in general the course looked in decent nick. Some of the bunkers aren't great (some of them should be GUR if they aren't already) and a couple of spots it was a bit soggy underfoot, but given the amount of rain on Saturday its hardly surprising. In good shape considering it reopened only a few months back I'd say
