Their big sale is really a way for them to get rid of unpopular seats at unpopular times of the year.

How many people travel between Nov and Feb?

Cologne is great to fly into as you can just get the train/subway into the centre, set out right beside the Dom Cathredal and tourist office etc .

I found it quite small over all, (some buidlings are impressive, and nice atmosphere ) so we made the short trip to Bonn, which is also small but quite pleasant ofr a few hours etc

ease of transport is a big plus, and I think would be quite atmospheric in winter

Isn't that what most sales are for? To get rid of unsold/unwanted/out of season stock..

Both Ryanair & Aer Lingus seem to have migrated onto this new web architecture, delivering sites that are slower to load, considerably less intuitive and with all the visual appeal of a primary school workbook.

figured out the issue with their site, u just need to leave the page load for ages... eventually the fares / flights will appear....

website is absolute muck. Got to the very end and card type only shows eg. visa card. Get your act together before you launch a site live

Actually accomodation seems pretty reasonable, probably because it's mid Feb and not a great time to go. I'm off to Amsterdam for Christmas...now there is somewhere with crazy prices for accomodation (so much so that I've resorted to a hostel)

Booked a flight, paid but next page went blank and then website froze, no mail and account not debited yet so I guess flight wasn't booked?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,383 ✭✭✭peckerhead

That is one seriously poor website "upgrade". And once you agree to view the beta site it doesn't allow you to revert to the old one (yes, I know how to get around that...)

Fúck 'em, have better things to waste my time on.

What is going on with the sale? I want to book a flight to Paris for New Years, is the sale still on?

It is, but you won't get anything cheap for NYE, ther are some cheap flights later in Jan available.

Page freezing so not wasting anymore time. Another reason to avoid Ryanair.
