I was just wondering would it be okay to just head off to weymouth in next June over a weekend without booking in advance and if so can anyone recommend a good bed-and-breakfast in the area near pubs and restaurants

Mid week I'd chance it but not at weekends, I really think a weekend in June won't have much availability in a coastal town like Weymouth. One of my best friends lives there and it's pretty busy year round but definitely Easter to Autumn

Thanks for that, if you're talking to your friend you might ask them what's a good B&B close to restaurants and pubs. I'm hoping to go on some nice walks too if they could recommend any. Thanks again

I definitely wouldn't chance it in June I have family in Weymouth and it's always busy.

I've never stayed in a b&b there though only ever rented houses.

I just booked the Cornubia guest house.
Just one more question would i need to book the train from Gatwick in advance? Thanks

It's cheaper to book in advance so I would.

Enjoy, Weymouth is a wonderful place. Have so many memories of it growing up.

There are a number of B&Bs along the seafront that are all pretty much of the same, decent standard.

It is a great town, very popular with stag and hens as well.

Excellent if you fancy a bit of boat fishing too, there's plenty of excellent boats with a skipper that will take you to some good deep sea fishing sites.
