Boiler and Stove Problem

I am having a problem with both my boiler and stove with back boiler.

Yesterday, my Firebird 90 was working fine - heating rads. I ordered more oil (500l) which was delivered but when I went to switch oil back on yesterday evening it didn't come on. Clicked reset button but it didn't cut in. Tried to bleed it using an allen key in case there was an airlock but still won't fire up. Is there anything else I can check?

    Problem no. 2...
I also have stove with back boiler fitted to heat rads. I lit that up last night but no rads were heated. Checked in hotpress and pipes are hot so I presume it is heating the water. There is a swich in hotpress marke 'W' and 'K'. I'm not sure what this means? I was guessing the W was for water. Again is there anything else I can check here? I had thermostat and 40, tried it at 70 but still no rads being heated.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Sounds like your system isn't getting electricity check fuses &trip switches.

Turns out the oil problem was an airlock. Not on the boiler itself, but on the ground where the oil comes into the boiler house from tank. Blew down that and oil coming again.

The prob with stove not heating the rads I'm still not sure of. There is power going to the pump. I am getting hot water but no heat in radiators. If problem with pump itself, would I be getting hot water?

Also, the stove is a back boiler insert with 11kw to water and 4kw to room. The room calculation for output needed is 3kw - 3.5kw. But there is absolutely no heat going to room. I burn mixture of peat briquettes, wood, coal and the room doesn't heat up. Surely it's not all going up the chimney on me?!

Asuming the plumbing is correct then the hot water heats without the circulation pump so it's possible your pump is faulty. You can check if it's running by removing the large silver screw on the end. Be careful not to loose this! When the screw is off water will come out stick in a screwdriver or shine in a light to see if the end of the motor shaft is rotating. If it's not try to move it with the screwdriver this could get it Un jammed if it's jammed.
I'd check the diagrams in the manual to see if any of the parts inside are out of position, a incorrectly fitted baffle can loose a lot of heat to the chimney. Also read the operating instructions. I had a customer who after she figured how to operate the stove was burning only half the fuel for the same heat. I don't have a stove so can't say from my own experience but R T F M is always good advice.

What stove have you? Has it ever heated the room?

It's a Boru 600ib Insert Boiler Stove. This should give 4kw to room and 11kw to water.
Room measure 16 x 14 x 8ft which roughly requires 3.5kw. Now I'm being told I need to add 1kw per door in room - never heard this before.
There is some heat but not enough to warm the room. The fires I light are pretty big but maybe it needs an absolute belter of a fire down ie stove completely full, but this doesn't seem right to me.

The stove wouldn't heat the rads as it was trying to heat a full tank of water to 40deg first, only then would it kick over to rads. Remember it would take a fair bit of time as no oil was heating the water.

Moving the dial to 70. Well now uve just asked the stove to heat the water to 70 before kicking in the rads,

Ur issue was simply full tank of cold water,
