Most adjustable front seat

I'm looking to find out what make/models of cars would have the most adjustable driver's seat. The folks have back problems and recently got a 2010 Corolla. They previously had a '99 Toyota Avensis, which had a much more adjustable drivers seat. The current seat is causing problems for them - they can adjust the height of the whole seat, but they cannot drop the bottom of the seat relative to the back like they could in the old car. The Avensis used to let you independently drop the front or back half of the seat base with separate knobs for each.
It looks like the other Toyota models are going with this arrangement also: whole seat hight jack up or down and seat back angle adjustments only.
We have looked into replacement or adapted seats, but they are more for people who find it difficult getting in and out of cars, rather than adjustability.
What kind of cars in the small family saloon category would have such an adjustment? We'd look at anything at this stage, as long as it's not too big/expensive to run.

Volvo S40/V50/C30 have seats that are fully height adjustable, or you can tilt the front of the seat up or down.

I have awful back problems and no salon car is really comfortable or suitable.
Higher seating positions where you get the hips and knees close to 90degree when seated work best. It also helps as your kinda stepping out to a standing position rather than lowering down to the seat and then having to pull yourself back up out of a saloon car seat.
For this reason I drive a jeep, but many of the taller MPV shaped cars are good too, Maybe a C-Max might work for them.

That model has dreadful seats, no leg support, too close to the floor, no lumbar support. No adjustment ratchet or wheel as in old and newer avensis. just a pull lever with 5/6 possible seat angles.
