Does anyone know where I can get a Renault scenic keycard coded near Kilkenny. It is a new blank card but not genuine so can't go to main dealer.

It's going to be hard I think.

I would try to find an indie garage that specialises in Renaults, that way they might have the equipment required.

When I had to get my Ford key programmed, none of the locksmiths were interested because it wasn't a fob supplied by them and one of them actually said "where did you buy that? Oh eBay yeah? Dem things don't work"

Ended up going to a Ford dealership and they coded it for €60 but it was a genuine fob.

I can't think of any decent locksmiths in Kilkenny that would have the relevant diagnostics equipment that will be needed. I have a Megane and the main dealer ordered me an extra keycard from Renault from the factory and I don't even think it needed to be coded comes ready to be used. I'd imagine without going to Dublin your going to struggle if your not going to go to main dealer to get a new card.

Renault is a bit of an odd ball.
I bought key on eBay but Renault wouldn't code it to car.

New key is required it is programmed to car.
Car can have maximum of 3 cards programmed to it at any time.

It has the advantage if you lose a key or it is stolen it is deprogrammed from car when new key is programmed in.

Disadvantage is dealer has you over a barrel. Something Renault are quite good at. Pity they didn't put same effort into the car.
