Scenario at the bottom of the Premier.

Limerick 2 points behind Drogheda, both have same GD.

Drogheda highly unlikely to catch side above them.

Limerick don't win, they are down.

Limerick must win and Drogheda not win, for Limerick to stay up.

    Drogheda win, they are safe.

Drogheda don't win, they're depending on Sligo not to lose.

A lot will depend on how bothered Sligo are. Can't see Drogheda getting anything, and Limerick were really bad last weekend.

Come on Galway, you know you wanna beat Pats on Friday. And Cork, come on. You've a big cup final coming up. Rest your players. Chill out. Relax.

    Sound.

Hopefully make it part 2/4 this week. UCD were far more threatening when Benson came on second half though. Id imagine he will start, its far from done.
Decent wee promo video made for it, considering no one gave us a hope of being here at the start of the season great to still be playing

I'd say Harps/UCD will be hoping that the Premier table stays the same, to get Drogheda...

Big night coming up on Friday.

Will Limerick pull off "the Great Escape", and consign Drogheda to the graveyard?

Will Bohs deprive Pats of a Euro spot and complete the process of the implosion of the 2013 champions?

Will Rovers get second place and end the idea that Cork can progress any further under John Caulfield?

Drogheda going down would surely see them not lasting much longer? 767 average this season add into the Louth Derby and other teams bringing good crowds, that is pish poor.

Surprisingly more confident about Friday then I was last Friday. With Benson and O'Conchubhair presumably going to start and Swan being played up front instead of (bizarrely) on the wing, I think we can get a result to put us through. Just need to be patient I feel.
Any Donegal radio station covering the game? Can't make it as I'll be on a late shift.

highland radio will do updates as the game goes on, i dont know if they will do a full breadcast. we have a tracker app with fan updates called mobstats but iv never used it during a home game... dont know if as many contribute when they can watch it live

Jesus. Look at Bolger compared to his teammates. Not a chance he'll be at Pats next year

Yup, best of luck to him.

Realistically Cork or Rovers will sign, Cork fairly sure they have him and Browne.

Pats were an outstanding team in 2013. A team that should have gone on to bigger things.

Yes they won the Cup in 2014 which helped paper over the cracks.

Failure to get into Europe would be an implosion.

Massive loss for Pats and could cause you to fall further behind. Whoever signs him will have a fairly decent shot at the title next year if he's utilised properly. I'm not sure that Fenlon or Caulfield are the men to do that.

They were extremely disappointing this year. I honestly thought they'd win the league as they had a great blend of exiting players coming through and experienced pros. They've no bite in the team at all and Fagan's long term absence can't be understated.

I would have to disagree (yah know having watched them a lot) in 2013 we had Flood a blood on the jersey balls to the wall player who gave us a plan B.

And we had John Russell a simple player who did a simple job, bring the ball from outside the box into the box thus creating chances.

2014 we papered over the loss of Russell/Flood with Fagans goals but still a lack of plan B and Russells ability to bring the ball into the box oh and commit needless fouls.

2015 no Fagan and new Russell/Forrester Jamie Mc Grath being integrated into the team went well for a while, didnt go well for a while.

Europe would be deadly but I have to accept that for a new team to be built from within the youth structures and there will be pain ie not Europe. Its what Buckley promised 4 years ago a team built from within......

Still has no plan B until flood comes back tho :p Odd noone here seems to have copped the Flood/Russell thing tho....

You also had a bloody good defence in 2013. Now?

Was it really necessary to let the 2013 team collapse in order to bring younger lads through. Can transition not be managed more tightly?

Kenna out in 2013 Hoare and a number of ex Rovers CBs came in. The fact the ball was coming back fairly quickly when we pushed up (the lack of Flood/Russell) meant our defence was exposed high and Browne is not going to win a 5 yard sprint unless the kebab shop has only one left.

The amount of one on one goals we concede is fcuking retarded.

Aye but if Pats drop out of the top 4 it's going to be very hard to get back in. €200k in Euro prize money is a massive increase in budget for a team like Bohs and Pats will need to unearth a few gems and put them on long term contracts immediately to have any chance

Fixed your post there in case you lose the run of yourself.

Massive amount of money for any of us to lose but if your gonna do something like this there has to pain. Once its not relegation i will get over it

If we play anything like we did against Derry or Rovers we certainly won't win the game.

All of our good run over the last 11 games has come from playing higher up the pitch and committing players to attack on the back of a good platform in midfield.

Lee Lynch has been at the centre of everything that has gone well, and as he'd gone off the boil, so have we.

He's out for the game so I am not hopeful at all.

I think it is pretty much in our hands as I wouldn't expect Drogheda to get a win in Tallaght, not in a million years they way they are playing.

The last two weeks have been the Limerick of the first two series - nothing in midfield so we pass it about the back looking for an opening that is never going to arrive, and eventually either hoofing it anyway, or losing the ball in a very dangerous area - as we did against Rovers for both their goals.

That would be impressive given the four point difference...

Ouch! It's only a two point difference. Public apology time. Hate that.

Cheerio Drogheda. Can't say I'm sad to see them go given how their fans celebrated when CCFC were in the mire in 2010.

Am I right in saying that tonight is the only time all season where Limerick have not been bottom? Some comeback. Fair play.

I doubt it, bray lost first five without a goal. 10th April it was said.

Fair play Limerick, some battling involved.
