I have both consoles but mainly use just XB1 but if all my friends were on 1 or the other I'd probably go to whatever they were on.

I was all set to hold out to Black Friday/ Xmas deals but seen this and just took the plunge yesterday, sold Halo to CEX straight away and got the €52 back for it.. Now I just need to find Fifa & GTA V on a deal and I'll be all set

Its a very good offer. The 1TB conlose retails between €400 and €450 depending on the shop.

However if he is younger and not going to own many games you might be better going for the 500GB Fifa bundle with Halo and Evolve.

Either way if your son doesn't like Halo bring it to CEX and they will give you €50 for it. If you get Evolve sell that aswell, CEX will give you €16, as its not a very good game. Then you can buy him Minecraft and a play and charge kit or controller.

PS don't buy games in GameStop they are way to expensive. Try Argos, Smyth's or Adverts.ie

I haven't checked yet but I'm 99% positive it will only have 1. I've never bought a console that came with >1 unless it was specifically part of some bundle.

That's a poor reason to not pick it up just because it hasn't got the Sky Go app.

Like you said you use it a lot on the 360 so keep using it on that and still treat yourself to the One

It is a big downer though, I use the app more than I play games on it. And with backwards compatability arriving on the One it's a pain having to keep the 360 just for that. I had a reservation that I let slip as I wouldn't use it as often as I'd like to. Whereas had it the Sky Go app that would have clinched it for me.

Well, either its an entertainment hub or it isn't
I do game, but I use Sky Go a lot for sports & movies & its a terrific app.... Picture is always pin sharp.

And where it will be stored is rather confined, I couldn't fit both....

But the day Microsoft & Sky kiss & make up, I'm all over the XB1.

Yup. They had posters and stuff up when I went in. Just note that it's not per 100. So you'll get 1x €10 voucher not 3x €10.

Ya it seems to be €395 now. I think that's the price it was supposed to be though. The extra €50 off seemed to be a glitch that was triggered by adding Halo 5. Instead of just not adding the price of the game, it seemed to subtract the price from the cost of the console.

The offer states

Buy the Xbox One 1TB console and get a copy of Halo 5 Guardians for free. Offer ends 03/11/2015.

Not "Buy the Xbox One 1TB, get Halo 5 with it and get an extra €50 off"

When I viewed it it explicitly said buy the 1TB Xbox One and Halo 5 for €349. It wasn't a glitch in the summations.
