BB30 with shimano

Looking at new frames, I have eye on one with a BB30 bottom bracket.. Whats the deal with this and an ultegra 6700 chainset, are there adaptors involved? I see them online but if anyone has the up to date low-down twould be appreciated... Tanks

I converted my BB30 Felt frame to shimano using an FSA threaded sleeve. It's been in there now around 9 months and has been quiet and trouble free in that time.
