    Hi Guys,

I'm looking to get ideas for the cost of replacing the following on my '00 Ford Focus:
    - Clutch (inc. CSC)
    - Catalytic converter

I've owned the car from new & always had it properly serviced & carefully looked after it. Now I think these jobs need doing & am wondering if it's time to change it.

Mechanics always say it's in excellent nick & I don't want to have to replace it but if it's going to cost too much then I might have to think about it... I'd welcome people's opinions....
    TIA
    Jtk

Off the top of my head between six and seven hundred euro.

Clutch kit including CSC €450 fitted.

The cost of the cat will vary depending on what kind of part you are going for. In my opinion the cheap ones are a waste of money. They never last more than a year or two.

Thanks a mill, guys, appreciate the swift responses!

I had been thinking along the lines that if it's going to cost under a Grand I'd get it all done, 'cos it's such a nice car, so I've made up my mind... :-)

    Cheers,
    Jtk

If you have had it from new i would side with keeping it and getting it done. You know the car.You could buy a 3 or 4 year old car and have no idea how its been looked after.Would deffo agree on the cat, best to spend an extra bit on a good quality one. Those cheap ones are muck.
