How do people not close their blinds/ curtains at nighttime? I would feel like i am living in a glass house. I see it everywhere. Are people trying to show off their living rooms?

One way glass is the best solution, if planning will allow it

Do you mean people who leave their windows open

    Or

People like me who show off the fact that we have insulation and no need for curtains

I like looking out as if anyone is outside I can see them. If curtains were drawn then I'd not see people if they were out side. Obviously all bedrooms curtains are closed. Living areas curtains are normally open.

I dunno how you do it I would always have that burning feeling in the back of my head someone is watching me. I could never feel comfortable. And i am pretty extroverted and social.

If you can see in my windows then the dogs are about to get you...

I just like it. Like looking out at the street every now and then. Happy enough with the blinds shut too though.

Possibly the least valuable post ever, this.

Funny as id be private really. We've dogs outside and if they were barking and I couldn't see out id be afraid someone was outside.
    Everyone is different I suppose

Never pull the curtains. I live in the country and so anyone who is outside would have to have a light of some sort as it's pitch black, so I'd see them before they saw me.

That is something that mystifies me. I live on a road of 11 houses, its a busy road and of the 10 other houses only one regularly pulls their curtains when it gets dark.

I walk by and you can see them pottering about their kitchen or spread out on their couch watching TV. I am a private person. I hate the thought of some random person walking by and looking in at me sitting on my couch. I don't understand why they don't pull them, many of them have blinds too and they don't even pull them either.
