5 FR Aircraft parked up in SXF

    Hi all,
just landed in SXF this evening and noticed 5 Ryanair aircraft parked up away from the terminals. I know FR are about to open their latest base there so I guess these are the aircraft for that, but I wonder how long they will have been parked up like that. It's so strange to see FR aircraft not in revenue service, but I guess they have to allow at least some overlap between delivery and start of operations to allow for slippage or whatever.

Anyone know how long these planes have been in SXF?

Airline winter timetables start this weekend.

Berlin base commences operations on Monday with (you've guessed it) five aircraft.

Any idea how long these aircraft would have been in position for the new base launch?

could be there from yesterday or could be there from 3 days ago. Aircraft just need to be in position 1-3 hours before their schedule departure.

Or they could be aircraft that just weren't needed this morning and could be flying right now.

According to FR24, EI-DPM, EFE and DWH all landed there at noon yesterday and have been idle since. Can't make out what the other 2 are as they must be in service.

I remember watching the webcams at Gdansk last winter and despite FR only have one aircraft based there I'd often see two - one coming back and fourth, the other would do a morning trip to Stansted then be parked up the rest of the day.

We'll see this again this winter as FR "park" x amount of aircraft.

And presumably "park" a portion of crew also?
