Help! Looking for storage for bicycle for the winter

    Hi,

I'm a tour guide in Ireland as of this year and I'm going back to Germany for the winter Tuesday, 27th of October. I am desparately looking for a safe place for my touring bike during the winter (approx. until Mid-April) in Dublin or on the North Coast (Baldoyle, Howth, Sutton, Portmarnock, Malahide...) Would anybody have an idea what I can do? Or know of a space?

I tried cycle shops but most of them don't have enough space. I'd appreciate any ideas that don't cost a fortune (like self-storage, e.g.). Thanks!

    Katja

Could you not break it down and leave it in a friends attic?

Alternatively if it's a cheap bike maybe sell it and buy another on your return.

If I were closer I'd have no bother putting your bike in the attic at your own risk of course.

    Good luck.

    Hi,

thanks for your thoughts! I now found a place in a garage of a friend's house. Easiest that way. So i'm set for this winter. We'll see what happens next year.

    All best
