Solo musician rehearsal studios/rooms

    Hi folks.

I want to get some practice in as a solo singer and guitarist with the intention of doing the rounds of the Dublin singer/songwriter scene.

I came across one rehearsal studio on the web recently that was offering a special rate for solo musicians but can't seem to find it again. However, that inspired me to post here as I'd like any advice people might have - if anyone knows any studios that are solo friendly etc.

As well as rehearsing myself, it would be nice to have someone at the studio who might show me how to set up the gear. I have only been in rehearsal rooms (usually Loop Studios) a few times before with others who always set up the gear so have almost no experience of setting up desks, amps etc. myself. I'd only have a semi-acoustic and need a microphone set up but even that would be beyond my limited knowledge. I have played a few singer/songer nights before where everything is set up when you arrive and they just plug in your guitar and away you go.

After you've finished laughing at my inexperienced virgin status, perhaps you might offer some helpful hints. Cheers. :D
