Bathroom black mould

Just wondering if anybody would be able to recommend somebody to help with black mould build up on ensuite bathroom ceiling. Mostly above the window but smaller black spots over most of the ceiling. Its a very small bathroom and most likely condensation issues.

I know I could try remove it with anti fungal products and paint over but would like to get to the root of the cause. most likely not leaving window open long enough after showers etc. There is a vent there but how effective it is may need to be assessed.

Can you please recommend anybody reliable and honest to assess the cause and remove the mould. Anybody who has had similar work done for them and a rough idea of the price they were charged would be very helpful.

    Many thanks.

Unless the problem is particularly bad, they I wouldnt worry about the root cause. Sand off the mold with fine sand paper and then apply at least 4 coats of anti-fungal paint. The denser the paint, the smoother the surface and the less likelihood of mold growth

Make sure that the extractor fan is working properly and leave the door/window open after showering.

You can also get a dehumidifier to place at the bathroom door to get the humidity down quickly. Make sure the dehumidifier is plugged in in a seperate room of course.

If you have black mould on tile grout or on the shower tray or bath silicon then get some HG Mould spray. It works wonders and keep mould away for longer than just using bleach.
