I believe they're saying the extradition request is politically motivated but need some time to amass sufficient bs.

He can say that but does not make it true at all. Are there not charges being laid ? Have they all not said its political at this stage.

I hope it is a long and drawn out process and that he does not get bail pending his extradition hearing.
I reckon that once he is extradited some Irish judge will release him pending trial.

And who is paying the lawyers fees?!!

That's what I'm wondering was he not Bankrupt ? 2 top white collar lawyers in the states would be stupidly expensive.

I'm not sure, but I think he would have 33 charges to answer. It would only be very well known people that could try that defence.

I would guess it is his wife paying...with money he illegally gave her instead of using that money to pay what he owes Anglo...which we bailed out.
    So WE are paying.

The guy running to become President of the United States went bankrupt many many times, that does not matter over there. They are still well able to afford a comfortable lifestyle.

Was that not the problem he went Bankrupt here and not there and owes money here ?

Could we not do a Batman in the Dark Knight job on this and have him "appear" in Shannon?

Yeah but he still can afford lawyers over there to get him off.

No hes not bankrupt. He might be here and IIRC he is back in the property game over in the US.

My question is what is he so afraid of coming back here for? Chances are nothing is going to happen about it, so he should just be a man about it and come over and get it sorted out.

Or is it if he gets a conviction over here then he can't go back to the US, where he is doing quite well IIRC.

He is bankrupt here so what nice loop hole allows you to keep earnings in the USA and not pay back here ?
