Is it possible to look up the details for an appeal to ABP, similar to objections to DCC on planning permission? I've searched for one but it only lists the name of the objectors. Also, if one of the objections wasn't submitted on time and is listed as late. Does this still get considered even though it was submitted after the date?
    Any advice much appreciated.

    1. if you mean can you read the appeal documents on line, then no. its only after the decision is made can you read the reasons for the decision on line, and the direction given.

    2. are you referring to an objection on the councils file? or the bords?

    1. Yeah, I wanted to read the appeal documents online. Thanks for letting me know.

    2. There was a deadline for appeals which was missed by a neighbour appealing. It's listed as being late. I was wondering if they will just dismiss it as it was late or if they will take it into account. Same neighbour objected to original planning permission They deliberately calculated garden space as smaller than was actually planned and DCC listened to it and increased garden space by removing a bedroom. Thus negating the need for the extra garden space!

ABP will send a copy of all the appeals they receive to the local authority.

I think at least some of the local authorities scan these in as part of their document management system and put them up online. (I might be mis-remembering this.)

Anyway it would cost nothing to have a gander at the planning section on the Local Authority website to see if anything pops up.

Yes, may be scanned in on the Council's website. If a submission is late, I fail to see why it not just returned, it being invalid for being late. If you're the applicant then you should have been notified of the appeal and a copy of it sent to you for comment y An Bord Pleanala. Nothing gets published on the Bord's site until decision is made.

Appeal went through a planner and he's waiting to hear back. Maybe the neighbours appeal was returned but it's still noted that it was received late.

Of course - I completely forgot to mention that if you're the applicant your agent will be sent all the documentation!

It'll be interesting to see if you are sent a copy of the late submission!!!

Very unsatisfactory, can you elaborate please. I've never heard of such before.

Neighbours appeal was too late but they have lodged an observation on the appeal by the original applicants. Original applicants going to withdraw appeal to ABP just in case and apply to amend the planning that was already granted to address the issues. Probably be another objection from the neighbour even though it won't make any difference to them and applicants have already spent a fortune appeasing them.
