Mine's 5¼" when soft and 3½" when hard. Go figure...

Floppy, flippy, hard, Jazz, Jizz, Zip, flash and solid (Oo-er Vicar!) state. All well and fine, but when you want a bit of high drama you can't beat an IBM 3420 reel-to-reel magtape drive going Tapocketa-Pocketa-Pocketa in the background.

Of course they will, as will the dodo and Ronald Regan.

I found a few zip discs in the attic a while back. Even one the 250mb ones! Man the day I brought that into college I made people so jealous... until it didn't work in the drive which only accepted 100mb discs. It's probably full of old college projects and porn.

You young wannabe pirates better adhere to this warning, y'here!?!

Who else remembers having to install/reinstall windows when it took something like 27 discs to install? And sitting by the computer having to switch from one to the other to the other?

Until there was an issue with the second last one, making you have to start all over!!

Mmm, floppy dicks, all that stored potential.

I should stop drinking if I want to go out tonight.

    Childish.

One would assume most children don't even know what a floppy is.

    Did you overdose on viagra?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
