Need to keep it about €130 in total for 2 nights.
    A group of 8 - 10 people
Looking at Edinburgh - is it still a popular destination? Good nightlife?
    Any other suggestions?
I looked at Amsterdam but the flights alone are €86!
    Thanks!

Flights and accommodation? That'll be tricky at a weekend, mid-week is more likely.

86 is very good for flights to Amsterdam. Id go for it! You can get some really nice cheap hostels for €10 - €20 a night. And I don't think you will get much better for flights and accommodation for under €130.

I have been to Amsterdam a number of times and can give you some hostels which are pretty much like hotels if you want. PM me if you want details.

If you go to Skyscanner and put your dates in and select Everywhere as the destination it can provide some good options. I did a weekend in November and returns to Belgium are €60 - bit odd as you fly into Brussels and out of Charleroi or other way round. The thing is though you'll need to figure out what you're spending your money on when you get there - cheaper to get to Belgium but more expensive when there.
Might be better off in Poland or Prague/Bratislava for cheaper pints.

    Thanks all for your help!
I've decided to go for Edinburgh. February 2016
Flights €30 return and have booked an aparthotel thing that looks decent, just off the royal mile
I've been to Edinburgh once before but it was years ago. I know it used to be a popular destination but wasn't sure anymore!
